L’Organisme de bassin versant (OBV) de la rivière du Nord is one of 40 watershed organizations (OBVs) officially recognized by the Government of Quebec under the Act to affirm the collective nature of water resources and to promote better governance of water and associated environments. The organization is responsible for planning and coordinating integrated water management within its assigned territory. Founded in 2003, the OBV rivière du Nord serves as a consultation and planning table whose primary mandate is to develop a Water Master Plan (PDE), update it, and promote and monitor its implementation.

To orchestrate integrated water management to ensure the sustainability of water resources throughout the Rivière du Nord watershed.

To ensure the necessary consultation, mobilization, engagement, and capacity building of stakeholders through close collaboration, support, coordination, and the development of partnerships and strategic projects.
