Consultation Table

The Consultation Table is an entity separate from the board of directors and constitutes the main tool for consultation among water stakeholders in developing and implementing the Water Master Plan. It brings together the main stakeholders involved in integrated water management in such a way as to reflect the different uses and interests present in the territory.

L'Organisme de bassin versant de la rivière du Nord mobilizes the Consultation Table in order to: 

  • remain attentive to the various interests, visions, needs, and concerns relating to water management;

  • develop its Water Master Plan;

  • mobilize water stakeholders in implementing the Water Master Plan;

  • discuss current issues relating to water resources.

The roles of the representatives sitting on the consultation table are as follows:

  1. Define and accept the elements of the Water Master Plan;
  2. Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the Water Master Plan and its action plan;
  3. Represent their entire sector of activity;
  4. Forward information to the community that they represent;
  5. Respect the confidentiality of certain information;
  6. Mobilize stakeholders;
  7. Appoint a substitute in case of absence;
  8. Propose support participants.

The topics addressed by the Consultation Table will be based on the problems prioritized in the 2024-2034 Water Master Plan.
